We think that our educational game would be a good reinforcer for learning about the systems in the human body. The objectives are clear, and general enough that anyone can understand the biological concepts. For example, in the second scene Fred needs to provide oxygen to his muscles to run away from the wolf. During this task, students will learn that hemoglobin picks up oxygen from the lungs and transports it to the muscles. The following scenes have similar straight-forward objectives that are essential to understanding the relevant systems in the human body for Fred’s survival. In addition, the game is short enough (~10 minutes) to hold the learners’ attention span. Overall, we gave this game a score of 41 which is above average according to our rubric.
